Acrylic is a transparent, smooth surface which when polished gives even better results. There are different techniques involved for smoothening the surface of the acrylic. One is polishing method, which can be done both on cast and extruded form, to get a glass like finish. Another technique used is Buffing. It involves a spinning wheel with a cutting compound to give the sheet more clarity on the surface.
